Project „The Transition of the Oplate Šitum Society to an Energy and Resource-Efficient Economy”

Brief description of the project

The project objective is to invest in an energy and resource-efficient economy through investments in energy renovation of the economic entity, increasing the use of renewable energy sources with the aim of reducing emissions, and investing in the introduction of resource efficiency in the production cycle and the life cycle of products, including sustainable supply of primary and secondary raw materials. The project „The Transition of the Oplate Šitum Society to an Energy and Resource Efficient Economy“ includes the construction of a photovoltaic power plant, the installation of a heat pump, and the purchase of energy-efficient equipment to reduce energy consumption, increase the use of renewable sources, and improve the ecological sustainability of the production process. By implementing the investments, the company achieves a significant reduction in CO₂ emissions, an increase in the share of secondary raw materials, and almost complete energy independence, thereby directly contributing to the green transition and the circular economy goals.

General objective of the project

Encouraging productive investments by SMEs from energy-intensive industries with the aim of achieving a more energy and resource-efficient economy through the promotion of a circular economy by introducing resource efficiency into the production cycle and product life cycle, including sustainable supply of primary and secondary raw materials, increasing the use of renewable energy sources and reducing emissions.

1. Adapting the Oplate Šitum company to current and future environmental requirements through investment in the company's green transition (Built-in additional operational capacity for energy from renewable sources 0.05 MW)
